Ben is a Director, EDUCATOR, COMPOSER, and PERFORMER BASED IN MINNEAPOLIS, MN.

Ben (he/they) has been seen as a performer regionally at the Guthrie Theater, Ten Thousand Things Theater Company, the Playwrights’ Center, Trademark Theater, Teatro Del Pueblo, Park Square Theatre, History Theatre, Titan Theatre Company, Hope Repertory Theatre, the Interlochen Shakespeare Festival, and with the National 24 Hour Musicals Festival. As a director, they are specifically interested in emerging texts that empower young voices. They have recently directed works at the University of Minnesota / Guthrie Theater B. F. A. Actor Training Program, Hope Repertory Theatre, Bryant Lake Theatre, Interlochen Arts Camp, and Pillsbury House & Theatre’s Chicago Avenue Project, including several world premieres.

Ben’s new children’s musical IMAGINE IT!, co-written by Sophina Saggau, premiered at Interlochen Arts Camp in Summer of 2022. It’s cast recording is now available on Spotify and Apple Music. Ben and Sophina have multiple musical theatre works in development and are available for commission. Following a sold out run of his solo cabaret, Dream With Me, at Feinstein's/54 Below in NYC, Ben released a cover album of the same title available on all streaming platforms. His new album of original songs, Blue Sanctuary, is set to release in 2024.

Ben is affiliate faculty at the University of Minnesota / Guthrie Theater BFA Actor Training Program, Director of Junior Musical Theatre at Interlochen Arts Camp, Theatre Arts Training Instructor at Minneapolis’ Children’s Theatre Company, and an Instructor of Voice & Songwriting at Chanson Voice & Music Academy in St. Paul, MN. They have guest taught with institutions such as Interlochen Arts Academy, Pillsbury House Theater’s Chicago Ave Project, Ten Thousand Things Theater Co., Urbana High School Music & Theatre Department, and Dance on Grove (Blenheim, NZ). They are a National YoungArts Winner and received their education from Interlochen Arts Academy and the University of Minnesota / Guthrie Theater BFA Actor Training Program, with additional training in classical text at Shakespeare’s Globe in London, England.
